Research activity
The group's research activity is in the field of wireless telecommunications networks, focused particularly on the physical (PHY) and access (MAC) layers as well as on the cross-layer design. Over the years, specific expertise has been acquired in the context of dynamic radio resource allocation, wireless sensor networks and high capacity point-to-point radio links. We have joined many reasearch projects, in Italy and Europe and we have cooperated with numerous Universities and companies. Several simulation tools are available for all the topics we have been working on. These tools have been implemented and refined for validating our research results. Among our research and work areas we can mention:
  • Radio Resource management
  • Mobile Systems
  • LoS / NLoS Backhauling
  • Wireless Sensor networks
  • UAVs networks
