NATO From June 2018, participation to the NATO Research Project SPS G5482 - "Public Safety Communication in the Context of Terrorist Attacks". Technologies for D2D and Device-to-UAV communications and detection.
   
UE Projects From January 2008 to 2011, partication to the European project NEWCOM++ (Network of Excellence in Wireless Communications, FP7) within Work Package WPR.B ("Localization and Positioning Techniques"). The following Universities have been participating to WPR.B: Chalmers University of Technology (Goteborg), ISMB, BILKENT, UPC, CTTC, CNRS, UCL, AAU, Univ. di Bologna, Univ. di Pisa.
UE Projects From March 2005 to Feb. 2007, participation to the European project NEWCOM (Network of Excellence in Wireless Communications, FP6) with the leadership of the Work Package WPRB4 "Synchronization (in Ultra Wide Band systems)" within Project B on UWB systems and with the responsibility of the deliverables [DB01-03]. The following Universities have joined WPRB4: Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (Supelec, Parigi), Chalmers University of Technology (Goteborg), Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia.
Collaborations Technical University of Tallinn
Collaborations  Center for Wireless Network Design (CWiND) at the University of Bedfordshire, UK in the field of radio resource allocation techniques and cellular systems simulation.
IT Projects From 2008 to 2011, we have joined the FIRB research project In.Sy.Eme (Integrated System for Emergency) within Workpackage 2 (Communication Infrastructure) with tasks in the field of localization and coexistence of broadband radio systems.

In 2013 and 2015-17 responsibility of a research contract in the field of design and implementation of LTE base stations.
Research contracts
From 2010 to 2012 responsibility of two research contracts in the field of the technological solutions for next generation cellular networks and back-hauling: design of high capacity point-to-point microwave links and techniques for estimating and limiting phase noise in high capacity transmission.
Research contracts Participation to the research program "Sistemi wireless futuri a larga banda – sistemi beyond 3rd generazione e sistemi ofdm/ofdma avanzati" in the context of a contract between Politecnico di Milano and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano in the period 2007/2008 with the task "Algoritmi di livello fisico" (Physical level algorithms).
Research contracts From 2003 to 2007 participation to 3 research contracts between Dipartimento di Elettronica ed Informazione del Politecnico di Milano and Siemens Mobile Communications S.p.A. on BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) radio systems with multiple accesso below 6 GHz in the context of IEEE 802.16d / IEEE 802.16e technology (WiMAX).
